Honda R18 / K20 / K24 Front Crankshaft Seal Driver

Designed to install the front crankshaft seal with the timing cover installed on the engine, this seal driver works across multiple Honda engine families, including R18, K20, and K24 engines.

A great deal of time went into designing and testing this tool so that one driver can properly install the seals on all three engine families, including newer and older applications. Multiple locating and depth-control surfaces are incorporated into the tool, allowing it to bottom out differently depending on the engine and drive each seal to the proper installation depth. Recommend driving seal with timing cover on engine.

How to Use

1. Start the new front crankshaft seal evenly into the timing cover.
2. Slide the seal driver over the crankshaft snout and position it against the seal.
3. Using a rubber mallet, lightly tap the driver to install the seal.
4. Continue tapping until the tool reaches its built-in stop. You will typically hear a noticeable change in tone when the driver has fully bottomed out.
5. Remove the driver and verify the seal is properly seated.

Heavy hammering is not required. Light, controlled taps with a rubber mallet are all that should be necessary to drive the seal into position.

Notes

• A rubber mallet is recommended when using this tool.
• The tool has been tested for durability and repeated use.
• This tool is fully 3D printed. Minor surface variations or small discrepancies in the print are normal due to the printing process and do not affect performance.
• Certain brake cleaners may cause surface discoloration. This does not compromise tool function.
